Whichever of the many varieties they are, I like them. I've not seen many that bright. :)

Columbine is a very prolific seeder. And it's easy to harvest and store their seeds.
Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience.

I love my Columbine, but I didn't know I could collect the seeds and start new plants. Do I just shake the seeds out when the flowers are finishing? And do I plant the seeds right away or save them for the next Spring?

You can do either Connie.Just spread them where you want them to grow. They also will seed themselves and will pop up anywhere.I like to sow some in pots and then can plant them out or give them away.

I love columbine. I saw an amazing deep burgundy one the other day between a low cement fence and against a wall in a parking lot. They were growing among garbage. I kind of want to rescue them in the night! But I suppose I could just take a few seeds...
