Please Identify
This was in a bouquet of flowers that I received not that long ago and I have know idea what they are. They have lasted more then a month already.

Search " Bromeliads" on Google search . Bing will give you hits too, but a page of bromeliad pictures is near the top in a Google search. There's something like 3500 species of bromeliads ; pineapples are a member of the bromeliad family .

This is called a Lucadendron, it is from the Protea family, florists (of which I am one) use it, mostly available in the Fall. It is a tropical flower, many flowers of the Protea family are beautiful, especially the Pin Cushion Protea. They are available in many shades. It can be dried.

It is quite a different plant to what used to seeing in an arrangement also.
I was wondering how you would dry it?
Like you do others upside down or is there other ways.
