Sweet and nutritious pumpkin is the star of this season’s smoothie. Inspired by our favourite fall flavours, it’s blended with good-for-you ingredients, including hearty rolled oats, fibre-rich flaxseed and delightful spices.
Pumpkin spice smoothie
- 1 tbsp golden flaxseed
- ½ cup fresh or canned organic pumpkin purée
- 1 ripe banana
- 1½ cups unsweetened oat milk
- 1½ tsp honey
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- ½ tbsp pumpkin pie spice
- Ground cinnamon for garnish
Grind the flaxseed using a spice or coffee grinder. Combine with the remaining ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth. Garnish with a pinch of ground cinnamon. Serve.
