Opt for bulbs over eggs when creating seasonal table settings and takeaways

It's likely you'll have more than one guest at your Easter dinner who is eager to get out in the garden. Instead of traditional eggs, why not substitute them with summer-flowering bulbs that can be popped in the garden in the coming weeks (after all threat of frost has passed, of course).

Here are three quick and easy ideas from Amy Dube of Dig.Drop.Done that work for either a table setting or as a hostess gift.

Easter bulb basket
Fill a basket with supplies for the budding gardener. Kid-sized gloves, watering can and spade, along with a small package of summer-flowering bulbs like gladiolas or lilies. Garden-green Peeps add a sweet touch.
